Welcome to the Being found Show. I’m Chauncey, filling in for Joe Mckenna and we’re doing a series of tips to help small businesses succeed in 2018.
Respond faster! People want what you’re selling and they want it now, and if you don’t respond, they move on. That’s just the way that it is.
We were talking earlier about this world of instant gratification and that is the way that people shop. It’s the way they shop for services, goods, and just about everything. So the faster you respond, the better. Always be polite, get to them as quick as you can and tell them how much you want to help them.
Another reason why you really want to do this is, now, Facebook started displaying on your pages how quickly you tend to respond. Whether it be a day, an hour or within 5 minutes. So this is something that we’re going to start seeing from other websites and people are going to start judging who they want to deal with based off of that. A lot of the time the need is immediate but more often, the want is immediate.
Of course, this adds to your growth and in a good way to do this is to make sure that your notifications are set up so that when you’re contacted you get an e-mail. Finally, check to make sure that you are ready to respond to your customers within a reasonable time.
Consider using a bot if you are not able to be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week, that is what it takes these days because the internet never shuts down. Here are a few bots to help your business respond in a timely manner:
Zendesk – Zendesk Answer Bot works right alongside your support team. It uses machine learning to help answer your customers’ questions with content from your Zendesk Guide knowledge base
Facebook bots for the Messenger Platform – Bots can provide anything from automated subscription content like weather and traffic updates to customized communications like receipts, shipping notifications, and live automated messages all by interacting directly with the people who want to get them.
Giving your customers what they want when they want it is the best way to maintain your business and keep customers happy. Check out our full show with 10 tips to help businesses succeed in 2018: Being Found Show Episode 42
